New Duo Release With Ambrose Akinmusire Coming June 12th

I'm really happy to announce Slo-Mo Neon Luminate Hoverings, a duo record I made with trumpeter Ambrose Akinmusire.

The album will officially be out on June 12th on Nonesuch Records, but the first preview track, "Soundcheck," is available now.

Ambrose is one of my favorite musicians, and it's a very special album to me. This has been a long time in the works: we have recorded the music on three separate occasions over the past ten years, and after discarding the other two attempts, we feel we finally got it right.

Slo-Mo features four compositions by me and four by Ambrose, plus "Soundcheck," which was literally our soundcheck during the recording session.
