Tomeka Reid Quartet Update

On December 30th, I returned from a magical three-week trip to Japan with the Tomeka Reid Quartet. We visited Tokyo, Nagoya, Okayama, Kobe, Kyoto, Ukiha, Fukuoka, Kokonoe and Yame.

I feel very lucky that we were able to spend extra time in Japan, where we met many wonderful people, ate countless incredible meals, shopped, and walked around for hours on end. I also really enjoyed attempting to speak and read Japanese, which I’m still chipping away at, slowly but steadily.

Tomeka’s quartet’s latest release, dance! skip! hop! (Out Of Your Head Records), comes out in February and we'll be performing January 6th at the HeyNonny! Women's Jazz Festival and January 10th at NYC Winter Jazzfest.
