My Week In Tokyo With Amaryllis

I'm still invigorated from a wonderful week in Tokyo last month with my sextet Amaryllis.

Thanks to Tsuneo Koga for this photo of us (see above) on stage at Blue Note Tokyo.

We did four sets of music over two nights, which ranged from older pieces to debut compositions.

It's a beautiful venue with great sound and super nice folks.

They even made a specialty cocktail for Amaryllis: The River of Forms (named after one of my newer compositions)!

We had a blast playing music there, plus wandering around Tokyo, shopping, eating incredible food, checking out sites and seeing old friends.

I hope to be back again soon!

In the meantime, the next stop for Amaryllis is a European tour next March.
